Sports Betting Rules accepted in West Virginia…

but the Integrity Fee suggestion Gets The Boot

The West Virginia Lottery Commission has approved the permanent rules for the operation of legal sports betting in the state. During a meeting on Wednesday, it went over 18 comments and suggested amendments to the state’s current sports betting regulations.

On Wednesday, commissioners also approved two rule amendments that would permit mobile betting accounts to the state’s bettors even when betting in another state. In spite of this, they would only be allowed to wager money when they are situated in West Virginia.

Mobile sports betting is expected to be implemented in the state by the end of the year, probably in the weeks to come. It looks like two more gambling venues, the Delaware North-owned Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Racetrack and Mardi Gras Casino, are set to launch their sportsbooks in the coming weeks. The two properties were expected to go live with sports wagering operations in late September, but they warned state regulators they needed an extension.

With regard to the rejection of the integrity fee suggestion, the West Virginia Lottery Commission Director, John Myers, addressed this prior to Wednesday’s vote and claimed that integrity was always intended to be included in the regulator’s policy as it makes the players more confident when it comes to playing.

Integrity is not a four-letter word […] If we don’t have integrity, players don’t play. If they don’t play, we lose revenue.

On Wednesday, the West Virginia Lottery Commission voted down all seven proposals tabled by the state’s sports betting regulations. John Cavacini, the West Virginia Racing Association President, said after the vote on Wednesday that the commissioners had done well by not participating in the consultations held between private organisations. In spite of the rejected integrity fee plan, Mr Cavacini said that the West Virginia casinos are still interested in consultation with sports associations, over the situation, on “an individual, contractual basis”.

October 2018 – The Month Geared up for New Slot Releases

October is set to be an exciting month for new slots as NetEnt are launching not 1, not 2, but 3 new slots. Playson, Microgaming and Quickspin are not straying far behind.

Egypt, exploration, artefacts, eastern bustling marketplaces seem to be pulling the trick this October as Quickspin launches Ark of Mystery with a bolshie female protagonist who is in a league of her own when it comes to unearthing mysterious artefacts and exploring ancient ruins. On the 8th October NetEnt will be launching Coins of Egypt, which will reward players in a peculiar way: coin wins occur when winning combos roll on the payline and there is also the Pharaoh Coin Wins feature, which can be exceptionally generous to those players fortunate enough to activate it.

On the 18th October, Playson are launching Book of Gold- another Egyptian-theme slot- and it looks the dual-pay systems have become the new trend.

NetEnt wants to impress again with Wild Bazaar to be launched on the 24th October. Think of noisy, busy markets as the Wild Bazaar’s soundtrack and visuals are certainly reminiscent of Aladdin. What’s more? The maximum win is 156000 coins- more than enough to make any common mortal a sultan.

On the 24th October, NetEnt is launching ‘Halloween Jack’-  a spine-tingling slot with skeletons and pumpkin heads populating the reels. Game features are multiple as free spins and re-spins are included as well as 3 different types of Wilds that change the way the game is played.

Following the same Halloween theme, Microgaming is set to launch Lucha Legends on October 31st, a slot based on masked performers at the ringside ready to battle it out at a wrestling match. It can pay a maximum of x2200 the player’s original wager.

If you’re a massive slot fan, it looks like you’re all set for October!
